HON. IBEKWE EMPOWERS 500 YOUTHS IN ANAOCHA, PROVIDES TOOLS FOR PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF SKILLS.
The training was celebrated as a great success, receiving praise from the Governor of Anambra State through Hon. Patrick Aghamba, the Commissioner for Youth Development. He recognized Hon. Ibekwe's innovative strategy as being well-aligned with the state’s 1Youth 2Skill program, which seeks to equip the youth with employable skills. The Commissioner urged the empowered individuals to seize this opportunity for personal and professional growth.
The participants expressed their joy and appreciation through songs, visibly excited about their future prospects with their new skills. This initiative underscores Hon. Ibekwe's dedication to enhancing the welfare and development of the youth in Anaocha.
Dr. Law Mefor, the Commissioner for Information, praised Hon. Ibekwe's performance and capacity for achieving results. Dignitaries such as Dr. Afam Obidike, the Commissioner for Health, and other local leaders echoed similar sentiments, commending Hon. Ibekwe's visionary leadership.
As tools and materials were handed out to the youths, community leaders like Dr. Cletus Obianodo and Barr. Ndubuisi Obiadi encouraged the participants to commit to hard work in order to succeed in their chosen fields.
The event saw participation from various stakeholders in Anaocha and Anambra, including Traditional Rulers, Women Leaders, President Generals, APGA supporters, and NYSC members, highlighting the initiative's importance. As these 500 youths now embark on their new paths, the initiative holds promise for reducing unemployment and crime in Anambra LGA.
