The Mayor of Anaocha LGA, Hon. Rome Ibekwe, hosted a successful stakeholders meeting at the Anaocha Secretariat in Neni, where important discussions took place and the campaign council for Governor Charles Soludo's re-election was formed. The meeting saw attendance from key individuals, including the traditional ruler of Obeledu, HRM Igwe A.C Oragwam, who prayed with kola-nut and reaffirmed Anaocha's strong support for Soludo's re-election effort. Other participants included Community PGs, Women PGs, Youth leaders, and APGA members.
During the meeting, Hon. Ibekwe called on all stakeholders in Anaocha to commit fully to ensuring APGA's victory across all 19 wards in the area. He highlighted the significant achievements of Governor Soludo that have positively impacted Anaocha communities, such as the Amawbia/Agulu dual carriage way, the Nwagu-Agulu/Adazinnukwu/Adazi-Anu to Okija dual carriage way, road constructions, and the development of health centres and schools in Anaocha. He also promised cash rewards for the ward that secures the highest votes during the governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025.
The meeting featured speeches from notable stakeholders, including Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barr. JPC Anaetoh; Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike; Chairman of Anambra Sports Commission, Hon. Patrick Onyedum; Local Government Commission Member, Hon. Azubuike Okoye; and numerous APGA leaders. Their contributions played a vital role in developing the campaign strategy and fostering a collaborative approach.
The formation of the campaign council aimed to unite all Anaocha stakeholders to support Governor Soludo's successful re-election. With the outcomes of the meeting and the strong team assembled, Anaocha LGA is poised to back Governor Soludo across the ten communities in the region.
As the stakeholders departed, they expressed confidence in achieving a decisive victory for Governor Soludo. With a united front and a coordinated campaign effort, Anaocha LGA is prepared to play a key role in the re-election campaign. The traditional ruler's endorsement and the enthusiasm of the stakeholders reflect the community's trust in Governor Soludo's leadership.
