The Mayor of Anaocha Local Government Area, Hon. Rome Ibekwe, has officially announced the 2025 Anaocha Festival (ANAFEST), a two-day celebration set for October 17th and 18th, 2025, at the Anaocha LGA Secretariat in Neni. This remarkable event is expected to be a significant moment in the history of Anaocha LGA, aiming to highlight the area's values and cultural heritage while promoting innovation and growth.





The festival's organizing committee is led by High Chief Inno-Poch Chikezie, with Hon. Barr. Ndubuisi Ayo Obiadi and Chief Ogochukwu Egolum as the Co-Chairmen and Hon. Peter Ewenike as Secretary. This dedicated team brings extensive experience to ensure the festival's success, which is likely to greatly enhance its impact.
At the unveiling, Mayor Ibekwe explained that the festival's goals include showcasing Anaocha's core values and fostering innovations to promote development and preserve cultural heritage. It will serve as a community platform for celebrating their rich culture while also focusing on progress.
A notable feature of the festival will be the recognition of distinguished individuals from Anaocha who have significantly contributed to their communities. These honorees will receive prestigious awards, independent of any monetary incentives, underscoring the spirit of genuine community acknowledgment and appreciation.

Additionally, Hon. Ibekwe announced that Governor Prof. Charles Soludo will be honoured with a title by all the traditional rulers of Anaocha LGA during ANAFEST. This accolade reflects the Governor’s dedication to the development of Anambra State and his contributions to the welfare of Anaocha's residents.
