The rich cultural heritage of Anaocha will once again take centre stage as the Anaocha Cultural and Festival Organization (ANAFEST) gears up for the grand Celebration of *ANAFEST 2025,* scheduled to hold on the *17th and 18th of October, 2025.*
This year’s theme, *“Culture Meets Innovation: Preserving Our Roots, Shaping Our Future,”* highlights a renewed commitment to honouring cultural traditions while embracing modernity. The two-day festival promises a colourful display of Anaocha cultural expressions, bringing together communities, traditional institutions, and creative talents in an atmosphere of unity, celebration, and pride.
Key highlights of ANAFEST 2025 include:
Anaocha Got Talents – Showcasing local talent across music, arts, and performance.
Masquerade and Cultural Dance Groups – Featuring traditional troupes from various communities.
_Iwa Ji_ (New Yam Festival) by Traditional Rulers – Performed in reverence to Igbo tradition.
Award Presentations and Conferment of Chieftaincy Titles – Honouring distinguished sons and daughters of Anaocha.
The event will commence at *9:00 AM daily at the Anaocha Local Government Secretariat, Neni, with Hon. Rome Ibekwe, Mayor of Anaocha LGA, as host.* Leading the organizing committee are *High Chief Innocent Chikezie, Chairman and Mr. Ewenike Peter Ifeanyi, Secretary.*
