Hon. Rome Ibekwe, the Mayor of Anambra LGA, was present with Governor Chukwuma Soludo at St. Patrick Catholic Church Agulu, where the Governor was honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Laity Council, Awka Diocese, during the event that marked the 2025 Laity Week.
Mayor Ibekwe praised the Awka Diocese Laity Council for recognising Governor Soludo and lauded the Governor for his remarkable achievements in office. He emphasised that Soludo's multifaceted initiatives across different sectors have garnered him several awards from esteemed organisations, including the Christian community.
Additionally, the Mayor extended his appreciation to His Lordship Very Revd. Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, for leading the Mass that commenced Laity Week at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Agulu, Anaocha LGA.
