In a significant acknowledgment of his dedicated service and remarkable contributions to the progress of Anaocha Local Government Area, Hon. Rome Ibekwe, the Mayor of Anaocha, has been awarded the Award of Credence/Humanitarian Champion by the Forum of Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria.
This esteemed recognition highlights Hon. Ibekwe's substantial influence in the LGA, especially his exceptional achievements during his initial 100 days in office. His dedication to fostering unprecedented development in Anaocha has been demonstrated through various initiatives, including settling outstanding electricity bills and installing prepaid meters at the council secretariat.
Moreover, Hon. Ibekwe has shown a strong commitment to the Council Area’s safety by advocating for collective action against insecurity and actively working to reduce crime in the Area. His efforts led to his appointment by the Solution Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, to the State Security Council Committee.
