The Anaocha Local Government Area hosted Anambra State First Lady, Dr. Nonye Soludo, as she introduced her Healthy Living Initiative to Ndi Anaocha. Hon. Rome Ibekwe, Chairman of Anaocha LGA, and the people of Anaocha extended a warm welcome to Dr. Soludo during her visit.
In his speech, Hon. Ibekwe praised Dr. Soludo for her relentless dedication to promoting healthy living throughout Anambra State. He highlighted the need for adopting healthy practices, especially in rural areas, and assured that his administration would support the initiative. He also expressed gratitude for the Governor's contributions to the progress of Anaocha and Anambra State.

During her address, Dr. Soludo stressed the importance of creating backyard gardens for access to fresh and nutritious food. She encouraged residents to grow organic vegetables, such as cabbage, tomatoes, and peppers, to foster healthy eating habits.
The event culminated in the planting of these vegetables, symbolizing the start of a community-led initiative aimed at encouraging healthy living. Dr. Soludo's initiative is structured around six key pillars, which include physical activity, nutritious eating, and community participation.

This event is part of Dr. Soludo's larger mission to advance healthy living practices across Anambra State. Her Healthy Living Initiative actively seeks to reduce child malnutrition, promote organic agriculture, and implement weekly exercise programs in all 21 local government areas of the state.
