In an epoch-making event yesterday 16th February, 2025, Agulu community received a significant community and tourist enhancement with the unveiling of a Five Star Hotel, developed by local son, Chief Romanus Ugochukwu (Ikeoha Anaocha).
On February 16, 2025, Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, inaugurated the GRANDSWISS HOTEL AGULU, which features 160 guest rooms.
During the hotel's opening event, Mayor Ibekwe praised Chief Ugochukwu for his substantial investment in Agulu and encouraged other prosperous individuals from Anaocha to follow his exemplary path towards community development and practice of the Aku-luo-uno Philosophy.He commended Governor Soludo for his focus on both social and infrastructural progress in Anaocha LGA and assured the Governor of Anaocha's unwavering support for his administration and commitment to his reelection.
Governor Soludo, in his comments, hailed GRANDSWISS HOTEL AGULU as the premier hotel in the State for both quality and capacity. He praised Chief Ugochukwu for his significant contribution to Anambra and urged more individuals from the community to emulate his efforts.
Chief Ugochukwu, in his remarks, reaffirmed his dedication to furthering development in Agulu, announcing plans for a Five Star Hospital to commence shortly, while also appreciating the Governor's initiatives in enhancing security and road infrastructure throughout the state.
